SS Tactile Studs

• Stainless Steel Tactile indicators are a specialized premium paving product for the orientation of the blind and those with vison impairment and provide anti-slip surface for all pedestrians.
• Warning surface indicators are intended to function much like a stop sign. They alert pedestrians who are blind or vision-impaired to hazards in their line of travel, indicating that they should stop to determine the nature of the hazard before proceeding further.  They do not indicate what the hazard will be.

Installation

• The relevant standards governing correct layout and orientation for the Tactile Indicators will be complied with and a drilling template positioned and taped to the substrate to avoid movement while drilling grid pattern.
• The holes are individually drilled and the template removed. Dust and debris is vacuumed from the holes and a quality two part adhesive is injected into each cavity. The studs are fitted and tapped, the adhesive takes 12-15 hours to cure completely.
